TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • Notice before 9am on the day of lesson is required for cancellations or rescheduling of lessons.

    • To cancel, you can talk to or call reception during opening hours, leave a voicemail message, send a text message, email or cancel the lesson on the student portal.

    • Please do not call or text your teacher to reschedule/cancel lessons; this will not count as sufficient notice.

  • If insufficient notice is given, lesson will be forfeited.

  • No refunds or credits are given for students’ missed lessons (make-up lessons only).

  • If a teacher is going to be absent but we can provide a replacement teacher, make-up lessons will be offered to students wanting to wait for their teacher to return, but not credits.

  • If a teacher is absent and we are unable to provide a replacement, students may elect to receive a make-up lesson or a credit towards their next invoice.

  • Any make-up lessons owed have an expiry date of 90 days after which they are forfeited.

    • Students may book their own make-up lessons on the calendar on the student portal or else get in touch with reception to see what times may be available.

    • Reception will not be chasing up make-up lessons owed. Students to keep track of own lessons on student portal.

  • If a student is going to be away for more than two weeks of term, they can opt to either suspend lessons and hold their spot for $10 per week they are away, or else to un-enrol and re-enrol once they have returned.

    • Students understand that un-enrolling may mean they have a different time or teacher upon re-enrolment.

  • A maximum of two make-up lessons can be owed to a student at any time.

  • If students’ accounts fall behind by three weeks, lessons will be suspended unless payment plan has been arranged with reception.

EXAMS

As students reach certain standards, they may wish to go through the exam system in order to gain qualifications useful for school and university entry. Our students have achieved consistently excellent results through both A.M.E.B. and A.N.Z.C.A.

We also have a number of V.C.E., V.E.T. and university music students who come to us for assistance in preparing for their theory and performance exams.

TUITION

New students may wish to undertake a single trial lesson, paying for that lesson alone, before commencing their enrolment. Enrolment is a commitment the student makes on a term-by-term basis.

Invoices for each month of lessons are automatically sent out by email at least three weeks in advance and are due to be paid on the 1st of each month. Students are only billed for the lessons that are to take place in that month. Lessons stop over school holidays and public holidays and students are not charged for these.

Other payment arrangements may be available on request. Contact reception to discuss.

Payments made beyond one week late will incur a 1.5% late fee.

Payment may be made via direct deposit, cheque, cash, EFTPOS or PayPal.

Payment cannot be refunded once a student has commenced their enrolment.

EQUIPMENT HIRE

If you would like to commence lessons in a particular instrument, but are unsure about whether you're ready to make the commitment to spend hundreds or perhaps thousands of dollars on buying the instrument just yet, we may be able to help! We have a limited amount of instruments available for hire by the week.

Contact our reception to see what we currently have in stock.
